** 8. ISRAEL TO CARRY OUT DNA TESTING

Health Minister Yehoshua Matza has decided to carry out DNA testing in
Israel for the Yemenite children. The decision was made after a
recommendation to this effect by an FBI specialist in DNA testing, who
visited Israel this week. Atty. Rami Tzuberi, who has represented
several families in their search for their missing relatives, said that
he does not object to such testing, as long as it is not carried out in
the National Forensic Institute or by the Ministry of Health, "following
our previous experience with them in the testing of Margalit Omeisi and
her daughter Tzila
Levine." {ARUTZ 7 5/12 C|P}

** 8. NEW EVIDENCE IN YEMENITE CHILDREN AFFAIR

The Makor Rishon weekly journal published documents today which were
removed from the Tel Aviv District Court Archives.

The documents reveal involvement of then establishment figures in the
forging of birth and adoption certificates belonging to Yemenite
children who were given over for adoption against the will of their
parents.

Amongst the official documents is a court order which retroactively
changed the name in a snatched Yemenite child's birth certificate. Other
documents show clearly the measures taken to blur the original identity
of the Yemenite children who were kidnapped from their parents. {ARUTZ 7
