The
inauguration of the implantation of the "CANDELABRA OF PEACE" Salvador
DALI at BEN-GOURION airport was for my family and me a great joy
and also an intense emotion. I want thank the many people who for
all these years have allowed me to realize this dream : ART IN SERVICE
OF PEACE.
Since the beginning of time ART has been the messenger of all civilizations
it has indeed been the condult of their knowledge beliefs, hopes,
messages of love and traditions.
Neverthless, intolerance, dictatorship, obscurantism have always
censored ART and CULTURE as well as its Creators who bear witness
to their century. Their names, ideas, writings, messages of peace,
brotherhood and tolerance are the heritage of humanity.
Salvador DALI created this MENORAH as homage to the
PEOPLE of ISRAEL and also to PEACE.
We are certain that Dali Universal here and in the world will permit
all the childrens of this earth to carry the message of light :
"hope, brotherhood, understanding, universal love the real values
which will guarantee them to live in peace, free and equal".
