From 1950 to 1980, El Salvador DALI wrote, illustrated, created, many works on the topic of the Judaism and the state of d’Israel, in particular some original gouaches, some sculptures, many originals, some low-reliefs sculptures , jewels and medals of the “Menorah” and of the “Wailing Wall”.

The Dali's "Wailing Wall" and the "Dali's Menorah" were adapted in plastic form of low-relief (the Wall), a sculpture (Menorah) and in the form of jewels, from the original pictorial works of the Master Salvador DALI, created in 1963 for "The Menorah" and 1970 for "the Wailing Wall".

Jean-Paul DELCOURT is the exclusive titular of the patrimonials autor's rights (all rights and all copy rights) all over the world of the sculptures, jewels and medals entitled "The Wailing Wall by Dali" and "Menorah by Dali", and this under the terms of the various contracts of transfer signed between itself and El Salvador DALI on November 7, 1980 for the work known as "the WAILING WALL OF JERUSALEM" and on November 20, 1980 for the work known as "MENORAH", as well as endorsements with the above mentioned contracts on February 20, 1981, duly recorded with the S.P.A.D.E.M PARIS and the FOUNDATION GALA - DALI FIGURAS.


The sculpture of the Menorah have been presented for the first time in the United States of America and in France while Dali was still alive. THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF Ben GOURION University OF Negev co-sponsored the party organized for its public presentation in New York. The Paris’ reception has taken place at the Israeli Embassy with the patronage of H.E. Meir ROSENNE, who assisted to the unveiling. Since those first manifestations, these statues have been shown up all over the world . They have been exhibited in several public manifestations that have made them known to a large public. They are now exposed in a lot of embassy and in the more prestigious israeli places.

In 1998, within the framework of the fiftieth Israel's birthday, a monumental five meters high bronze sculpture was established at the Ben-Gourion airport of Tel Aviv. This one was gracefully offered by Jean-Paul DELCOURT and was accepted by the Israeli government. The inauguration of this monumental sculpture took place on July 21, 1998 under the patronage of eminent personages of the world of arts, as well as diplomatic and political world. Today, this monument is in particular a symbol of peace. This Menorat Hashalom is the first and the only Dali's monument to be set up in the world.
